Sticks ‘n Stones

This neighborhood park provides sustained play opportunities to children and families. Communita utilized natural materials and topography to create play spaces that engage children’s curiosity and give them access to safe nature play. Jumping stones line paths, balance logs define planting beds, log steps lead to a clearing in the trees, and taller stones set in a prairie grass maze provide a play fort. Drought tolerant, native plants were used throughout the park.
