Steep Creek Interpretive Signage

Steep Creek Trail is a one-half mile barrier free trail at the Mendenhall Glacier Visitor Center in Juneau Alaska, where over 300,000 tourists visit annually. Meandering along Steep Creek on a silt/gravel glacial moraine, the trail offers views of the creek and glacial landscape. In association with Donnia & Co., graphic designers; Atelier was retained to provide services for the layout, illustration, and fabrication of exhibit-quality outdoor interpretive signs. Now integrated along the existing trail and boardwalk at specified viewpoints, the signs educate visitors on the life cycle of salmon in Steep Creek and associated creek-dependent life.
