Seattle Housing Authority transformed an outdated public housing project into a mixed income, sustainable community, including rental and market-rate housing. The Master Plan and architecture integrate contextually into an historic neighborhood that features an open space system linking numerous parks, playing fields and natural areas that provides community parks and services for new and existing residents. With the use of innovative natural drainage strategies, 98% of the stormwater is retained on site. This project was partially funded by a HUD HOPE IV grant.
